Network Application Development
Who are we?
We're NetwerkADF, a group of students studying at the Miniemeninstituut starting November 2019. We're currently working on the Booket project, our reservation platform in collaboration with Boutersem as interns. Our goal is to provide people with powerful, easy to use applications without losing functionality.
The Team
NetwerkADF exists out of three students. You can read more about us by clicking on our names.

The origin story of NetwerkADF.
We banded toghether in November 2019. We're assigned to collaborate with Boutersem on a solution regarding their issues with the gymnasium. We're the only group that would have worked in Belgium if it weren't for the COVID-19 pandamic.
It was mandatory to appoint a CEO in our group. We collectivly decided that the role of CEO is essentially meaningless amoung us three, meaning that we don't really have a leader. Officially, Dazzlyn Kyei is our appointed CEO. Along with that, we decided that Jesse Storms was in charge of design and Loïc Deketelaere in charge of programming.
The Name and the Logo.
The old Logo.
NetwerkADF stand for Application Development Facility. We went with Network because of the association with IT and as a small jab at NetWerkADF. We did experiment with other names but none of them stuck around as much as this one.
Our logo went through a lot of changes. It took us until December 2019 to finally settle on the current one. We wanted our logo to stand out on both light and dark colors. Our early designs didn't leave our notebooks anytime. You can see one of the earliest logo's at the right.
Finally, we got to our current logo. The symbols resemble ADF in an abstract way. We kept the eye-catching blue from our logo as our accent color.

This website went through a lot of changes. We wanted to keep the sleek, simple and modern feel from our Booket project. We originally tried going with the card design like we did in Booket but scrapped the idea early on.
We experimented in Adobe XD but the design didn't stick. Our second attempt faired a bit longer but did not survive. Eventually, we settled on a blog-styled layout. This combined nicely with this article layout. You can click on the image for a closer look.

Our workflow
We're flexible when it comes to development. Everyone in our team has a good grasp on everything PHP and SQL related. We assign ourselves a part of our project and work on it until it's done. We don't really keep ourselves to our roles, the designer laid the groundwork on the account logic, for example.
The future of NetwerkADF
